The Faculty of Postgraduate Medicine, Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan is pleased to invite self-finance applicants from international and national candidates for the following MD Programs for the academic year 2024 (October 2024 intake):

Eligibility Criteria
- You should have a bachelor’s degree, MBBS, from a reputed institution recognized by the Medical and Health Professionals Council, Bhutan.
- Completion of a one-year internship with relevant clinical exposure.
- Proficiency in English (Proof of English language proficiency may be required).

- Bachelor’s degree: Copy of Certificate and Transcript
- Internship completion certificate
- Class XII: Copy of Certificate and Transcript.
- Registration certificate with the respective Medical and Health council
- Certificate of good standing form the council
- Valid Security clearance-
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Copy of citizenship identity card
- Valid Audit clearance for Studies;
- Medical Fitness certificate; and
- Migration certificate
- Two references

Shortlist and Selection Procedure
- Shortlisting, Entrance and selection examinations for all MD Programs will be conducted by FoPGM, KGUMSB;
- Examination shall be conducted physically/ virtually
- Selection of candidates will be purely based on merit ranking of the entrance examination/selection result;
- Selection of candidates for the unfilled slot will also be based on merit ranking of the entrance examination in case the candidates don’t get selected for the first preferred field of study;
Note: Other additional expenses like accommodation, traveling etc. should be borne by the candidates. Hostel facility is not provided by the university.
