The Faculty of Postgraduate Medicine (FoPGM), Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan (KGUMSB), held its first fire awareness program and drill with support from the Fire and Rescue Service Division (FRSD), Royal Bhutan Police (RBP), on 26th October 2026. 

Experienced firefighters from RBP sensitized the audience, including students, faculty members, officials, and supporting staff of FoPGM and the Faculty of Undergraduate Medicine (FoUGM), on fire prevention and management through expert knowledge and real-life experience sharing. The program also included practical demonstrations on handling LPG gas cylinders and fire extinguishment, with and without fire extinguishers.

The Faculty extends its deepest gratitude to the FRSD, RBP, for their unwavering support and plans to hold similar activities regularly as part of its commitment to a safe place to learn, work, and care for patients.
